Bear Lake.
Sometimes we make trips to Bear Lake and just hang out on the beach. This trip was take with Mamas, Papas, Hailey, Bouk, Scottie, and Annie. It involved paddle boarding, mamas famous bear lake sandwiches, skinny dipping, fishing, crawling in the sand/eating sandy graham crackers(scottie), and a trip to labeaus.

Steb gets his call.
When Steve decided he was going on a mission, he told the family that he wanted to keep it a secret from Mama Mich until the day he got his call! I thought to myself, how is he going to pull this one off without her getting suspicious?
He turned his papers in mid June, and we waited anxiously for the next few weeks until his call arrived on July 16th. It was the perfect day for the opening because Mike and Kindra's wedding was the next day and so we had lots of family over and Michy didn't suspect a thing because of the wedding. (Hailey, Bouk, Scottie, and grandparents)
Everyone was gathered in the kitchen/tv room upstairs when Steve came out of the computer room, call in hand, and leaned over to my mom and showed her the big white envelope. "Are you freakin' shittin me" were the first words to come out of her mouth when she saw it, followed by lots of shock and wondering if everyone was in on this but her. YES mom! Everyone has been keeping this a secret for a few months, and YOU are the only one who didn't know!
My mom was sure Steve was going to go to USU for a year and then maybe go on a mission. I had even told her once that I helped Steve register for classes! She had absolutely no idea, and it was such a fun surprise. Stebby got called to serve in the Edmonton, Canada Mission and leaves December 3rd.

Lake Powell.
Lake Powell is by far one of the best trips EVER. It never disappoints! This year was no exception.

We left home on June 30th and left Powell July 4th. It was the perfect amount of time to be on the lake, because by day 5 you start to want a real shower and the houseboat starts to smells like sewage. The trip was full of surfing, wakeboarding, ERK, catchphrase, tanning, lizard catching, paddle-boarding, thunder, lightening and rainstorms at 1am, and much more.
